Job Description
- Monitor the activities during the plating of parts.
- Setup plating reels & maintain the plating line.
- Monitor parts as they progress through plating baths.
- Inspection of parts & preparation of parts for shipment.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints and/or job orders.
- Study the production schedule & estimate requirements for completing orders efficiency and on time.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Prepare, clean, set up, and plate Chrome, Nickel, Cadmium and other coatings, as required.
- Prepare both large and small parts for work through masking, blasting, and cadmium plating.
- Maintain all consumables for blasting (i.e., media, nozzles, etc.). Regularly empty and clean the large blast booth and all other blasters used in Plating.
- Assist in adding chemicals to the plating bathes to ensure proper balances are maintained.
- Analyze problems with Chrome, Nickel, and Cadmium and be able to provide corrective actions to remedy problems.
- Improve processes and tooling in order to streamline processes.
- Report all equipment breakdowns to Department Manager and make minor or temporary repairs when possible.
- Strip plating rack for storage or next plating run.
- Run process control checks on tanks such as temperature, pH or filter checks.
- Perform filter maintenance.
- Perform schedule tank maintenance including in-tank cleaning per PM instructions.
- Move & store plating chemicals.
- Train junior personnel in the preparation of all plating work performed on the shift.
- Performs other duties as required by business needs.
- Set up, implement, control and monitor EN plating line meeting plating specification and requirement.
- Implement, control, and monitor stripping line activity meeting meeting spec and requirement.
- Ensure plating line and stripping line out meeting target set.
- Supervisor, control and enforce all safety and health, environment aspect comply with legal requirement.
- Must ensure chemical use with waste and proper generate quality output.
- Other aspect requirement related to EN plating.

Requirements
- High school Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 year(s) of experience in EN plating.
- Experience working with and around hazardous chemicals including acids.
- Must have proven safety record & experience with PPE used in plating and with hazardous chemicals.
- Must have basic electrical knowledge including, electrical circuitry, positive/negative, anode/cathode placement, AC/DC power supplies, rectifiers.
- Experience handling large complex hardware with tooling and other handling devices (i.e. pallet jacks, cranes, lifting straps, etc.).
- Experience preparing hardware surfaces for plating and fabrication/installation of tooling and shields to ensure parts meet plating requirements.
- Read, retain, and communicate technical data.
- Implement precise instructions.

Salary
RM4,000 - RM5,000.
